Warm Weather Calls For {Outdoor} Learning Using Cell Phones

The weather in Minnesota is unseasonably warm.
With the temperature being ideal {upper 60's}...
 The artroom was moved outdoors, for an engaging art elements & principles scavenger hunt...
Using technology!

{The Lesson}
Students were asked to use their cell phones to photograph examples of the following
elements & art principles using their cellphone cameras.
Student Art Elements Scavenger Hunt Document (down loadable)
This is a great lesson that focuses on formative assessment to see if students can not only define the elements of art but find, explain and photograph them, showing knowledge, application and understanding.  The lesson is also a great way to share with students basic photography and composition skills.

Take a look at the art and understanding demonstrated and created by using photography & cell phones in the outdoor classroom.
